1. Who we are
Lebomo is run by Sunrise Tools and Bolts CC (we, us, our). We are the one responsible for your personal information when you use our website, app and events.
Lebomo helps small groups of people in a city meet in person, at activities like dinner, drinks, runs, board games and book clubs. Our first city is Dubai.
You can reach us any time at legal@saurabhmaskara.com.
2. What we collect
Things you give us: your name, email address and city. You also give us your answers to our 5 question personality quiz, your interests and any dietary needs you choose to tell us.
Things we learn as you use Lebomo: which events you book, whether you attended, and the ratings and feedback you leave after an event.
Reports: if you or someone else reports a problem or incident, we keep the report and what we did about it. This may include details about other people involved.
Basic technical data: such as your device type, browser and how you use our pages. We collect this through cookies and similar tools, as explained in section 9.
We do not take payments. You pay venues directly for your own food and drink, so we do not collect your card or bank details. We also do not ask for sensitive details you do not need to share. Dietary needs can sometimes hint at health or religion, so please share only what you are comfortable with.
3. Why we use your information
To run Lebomo: to create your account, keep you signed in, book your seat and send you event messages and reminders.
To match you with a group. We use your quiz answers and interests to decide who may enjoy the same table. People are not told your quiz answers.
To keep events safe and fair: to record attendance, handle reports and act when community rules are broken.
To improve Lebomo: we read ratings, feedback and usage patterns to make matching and events better.
To follow the law and protect our rights, for example if a legal request or a dispute makes this necessary.
Legal basis. Where the law asks us to name one, we rely on your agreement to our Terms, on our reasonable interest in running a safe service, on your consent where we ask for it, and on legal duties.
4. What your group can see
One day before your event, the other people at your table are told your first name. We do not share your last name, email address or phone number.
Your quiz answers, ratings, feedback and reports about you stay private. Your group does not see them.
The Event Captain of your event may see who is booked, so they can welcome everyone. Dietary needs may be passed to the captain so the table can be arranged.
What you say at the table is up to you. Please remember that other guests may share things they hear. Our Community Guidelines ask everyone to respect each other's privacy.
5. Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information.
We use a small number of service providers to run Lebomo. They help with email, website hosting and analytics. They may only use your information to do their job for us.
Event Captains and City Ambassadors are independent volunteers. They get only what they need to run the event, and they must keep it private and not use it for anything else.
We may share information with the police, a court or another authority if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect someone's safety.
If Sunrise Tools and Bolts CC is ever sold or merged with another company, your information may move to the new owner. We would tell you first and the same protections would apply.
6. Where your data is kept
Your information is stored with our hosting provider in data centres in the European Union.
Our providers may handle data in other countries. When that happens, we take steps so your information still has proper protection.
We use sensible safety steps, such as access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly safe, so we cannot promise absolute security. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open.
If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal information within 24 months.
We may keep some information for longer when we need it. For example, safety reports and records of rule breaking may be kept for 5 years so we can keep other guests safe.
We may keep anonymous data, which cannot be linked back to you, to understand how Lebomo is used.
8. Your rights and choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong. You can also edit most details yourself in your account.
You can ask us to delete your information, or to limit or stop how we use it. In some cases we may have to keep part of it, and we will explain why.
You can ask for your information in a format you can take to another service.
Where we use your consent, you can take it back at any time. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email.
To use any of these rights, write to legal@saurabhmaskara.com. We may need to check it is really you. We aim to reply within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority. We would love the chance to fix it first.
9. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep the site working.
We use analytics tools to see which pages are used and how. We use this to improve Lebomo.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of Lebomo may not work well if you do.
10. Children
Lebomo is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
If you think a child has given us their information, please write to legal@saurabhmaskara.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
If a change is important, we will tell you by email or in the app before it starts.
Questions about this policy? Write to us at legal@saurabhmaskara.com. We are happy to explain anything in simpler words.
